We bought out first Afghan in 1973. She was black masked cream bitch Roala Rosarnie Sequin( Rani) and we thought that she was beautiful, until we read Charles Harrison's book "The Afghan Hound", when we realised she had a teapot handle tail and roundish eyes, but she was still beautiful to us.

We were pleased to find Chandhara Pahlevi Kamar, an outstanding blue brindle grandson of Australlian Ch Coastwinds Holyman. Chosen especially for his superb head, tail and overall balance.

The litter was the start of Pahlevi Afghans.

In 1977 we imported Huilacos Black Spartan from Spain. He was mainly American lines going back to Akaba and Grandeur breeding. Too fine for most English tastes at the time he was not shown but his heritage lives on through his progeny. Only used twice at stud progeny include Tretoraks Miss D'oure (Lorna) 1 CC   , Jandoriks Black Abbott (Flint) 2 Green stars and granddaughters :Shazell Georgie Girl JW and our own Pahlevi Diamond Dust JW.

Later we introduced a blue line bitch Kushku Kismet (Holley) a pale blue domino. We mated her to Kharakhan Casanova ( a Ch Khanabad White Warrior xCh Khanabad Peach Blossom Son) She produced Pahlevi Astral Dust(Ozzy) a pale peach domino.

We were fortunate to obtain Twighlight Azure of Pahlevi ( Leah) a blue and cream bitch from Khivan Lines who also went back to Holyman.

Ozzy and Leah produced our special boy , Pahlevi Folklore ( Domino) 2 res CC’s , 1 Green Star , JW.

Whilst fascinated by the exotic colours we have always strived to breed good conformation and excellent temperaments. Our dogs live as much loved pets first and show/breeding stock second.

We hope to continue our interest in the breed through our young bitches Nannamellie Jurose Bosal at Pahlevi   , Crufts qualified 2006 ( Tallis) and her litter sister Nannamellie Rustic Gem at Pahlevi ( Jem ), open show group winner, who are descendents of our foundation bitch and combine the Spanish and blue lines we later introduced.
